Four generations, one shared history
The year is 1932. Fritz Rhyner-Perret is traveling from Ennetbühl on his motorcycle with a sidecar, visiting his customers. He is the founder of the electrical installation business Elektro Rhyner. His son, Fritz Rhyner-Häusler, completes his apprenticeship in his parents' business and, together with his father, runs the business through the difficult times of World War II. A success story begins...
In 1974 – shortly after the death of grandfather Rhyner-Perret – Fritz Rhyner-Reumer, the third Rhyner generation, took over the company's fortunes. The premises, which had previously been located in Ennetbühls, had become too small for the needs of the successful company. The headquarters were relocated to Glarus. From then on, customers and the company itself benefited from larger warehouse and workshop space on Nordstrasse.

Fritz Rhyner-Reumer, the third Rhyner generation, takes over the company's fortunes.
Generational change
In 1983, the joint-stock company was converted into a public limited company. One year later, the Rhyner-Reumer family moved into their own business and residential building in Buchholz. Thanks to the large storage areas and functionally equipped offices, they were able to offer even more efficient customer service. Elektro Rhyner AG also established its own switchboard manufacturing facility in Buchholz, allowing them to quickly and precisely manufacture even complex installations to meet customer needs. To meet the growing customer base, the vehicle fleet was expanded and equipped with the necessary tools to enable rapid on-site deployment.
Modern and functional rooms
Meanwhile, the two Fritz Rhyners from the second and third generations have been able to enjoy their well-earned retirement. Since 2003, the fortunes of Elektro Rhyner AG have been under the control of Managing Director Patrik Rhyner, who represents the fourth generation of the family as overall company manager.
Handover to the 4th generation
The merger of the two companies will create a more comprehensive range of services. SAR's existing expertise in maintenance and repair complements Elektro Rhyner AG's know-how in building technology and large-scale projects. The goal is to further expand the service portfolio for customers and open up new business areas.

A certain pride accompanies this company history, as it is not a given in today's world that a family tradition continues for such a long time.
Starting out as a one-man operation in 1932, the company acquired a small business with three employees in 1974, and by 2003, a medium-sized operation with 25 employees was handed over to the current management. Today, Elektro Rhyner AG is a proud employer of almost 100 employees, providing its services throughout Switzerland.
